创业12年144个月4380天,可能就第一个月是享受了一下当老板的感觉,之后的4350天感觉每天都是在划着一只随时需要补洞的船在大海的波澜起伏,狂风暴雨和惊涛骇浪中艰难前行。以此回忆录献给正在创业和出海开店的人们,希望可以有所帮助。
Over 12 years of entrepreneurship, 144 months and 4,380 days, I probably only enjoyed the feeling of being “the boss” for the first month. The following 4,350 days felt more like trying to row a boat across the ocean while constantly patching holes, struggling through rough waves, storms and endless uncertainty. I dedicate this memoir to those who are building businesses and expanding overseas. I hope some of my experiences may be helpful.
2015年8月,我凭着一腔热血,在雷丁Oracle开了第一家属于自己的玩具小店。从注册公司,开银行账户,跟landlord签约,律师,装修,招人和进货,我和小伙伴非常努力的完成了,虽然累,但是很开心,当时还想着:原来开店也不过如此,也不难嘛。。。开店第一个月,得到很多关注,英国本地客户对新鲜事物非常感兴趣,我们的信心得到极大满足,所以直接按照自己的感觉,开店不到一个月,立刻为圣诞节定一个集装箱的货,并为此货物额外租了一个大的存储空间,为了图便宜,和仓库直接租了一年,一切就绪我们就等圣诞节了。。。。。。
In August 2014, driven purely by passion and ambition, I opened my very first toy shop in The Oracle, Reading. From registering the company, opening a bank account, signing with the landlord, dealing with lawyers, fitting out the shop, hiring staff and sourcing products, my business partner and I worked incredibly hard to make it happen. It was exhausting, but we were happy. At the time, I remember thinking: opening a shop is not that difficult after all… In the first month after opening, we received a lot of attention. Local UK customers were very interested in something new and different, and our confidence grew quickly. So, based purely on instinct, less than one month after opening, we immediately ordered an entire container of stock for Christmas. To store it, we rented a much larger warehouse. To save money, we signed a one-year lease because it was cheaper. Once everything was in place, all we had to do was wait for Christmas...
